In August 2020, we will be hosting Mythmoot VII: Defying and Defining Darkness as a VIRTUAL conference experience. Join us for a socially distanced weekend of fun, learning, and fellowship.
Important Mythmoot Update!
Due to the current COVID-19 situation in the USA, Mythmoot VII is going completely virtual this year. We regret losing the in-person interaction, but Signum excels at working virtually, so we are looking forward to meeting the challenge of this year’s Mythmoot — and looking forward to resuming in-person moots next year!
As with our in-person moots, we will have our brilliant keynote speakers and academic presentations as scheduled. The new experience we are offering will also include as many social events, activities and opportunities to simply gather and hang out with friends and colleagues as we can squeeze into the time we have.
- Pub trivia? You bet!
- Costume contest? Absolutely!
- Is Corey going to do a hands-on workshop or two on poetry? Yep!
- Will he mention Eminem again? Very likely.
All in all – it’s gonna be awesome!
A new digital Mythmoot social experience!
To bring some of the social events, activities, and other interactions to virtual attendees, we are introducing MootHub – a new digital experience tier of attendance for Mythmoot VII.
This new tier will provide an opportunity to enjoy some of the participatory activities outside of the formal presentation schedule that have become so much a part of the Mythmoot experience. Unlike the presentations, these activities will not be accessible via the MootCast tier, and they will not be recorded or accessible in the Mythmoot archive.
The costs for Mythmoot will be:
- MootCast – $75 (same as previously) – includes access to the live scheduled keynotes and academic presentations, as well as the recorded archives
- MootHub – $130 – includes the same access as MootCast, plus interactive events, activities, and discussions
How can I learn more about MootHub?
The webpage will be updated as our plans take shape with more information beginning next week. Those who have already registered for Mythmoot should receive an email at the address they used to register. You can also follow the Mythmoot page on Facebook.
We are putting all of our effort into organizing the best digital Mythmoot possible! We know you will have many questions, but we may not have answers for you immediately. We will publish details here on the website as they solidify, and we will send emails with updates to those who are registered for the event.
We are excited to be able to host a digital Moot. We hope you are excited to attend as well!
