In 2017 and 2018, Signum Academy provided free interactive summer camps for youth. Our reading camps were run on an exciting and engaging blended model, with live online sessions and locally organized group meetings.

Each Signum Academy reading camp ran for two weeks and offered in-depth, age-appropriate, guided discussions about one of our books. The format consisted of two basic parts: the interactive online discussion session and the local group meeting.

Sessions were taught by experienced instructors using Signum University’s digital campus software. Attending at home on their own or as part of a group, campers sent in questions or comments for instructors to address in real time. Recordings were also made available for campers who were unable to attend live but who could send in their contributions by email.

Supplemental activities were run at local group meetings, with parents or group coordinators as onsite camp leaders. Leaders put together their own meeting curriculum by choosing activities and projects from the program packet developed and provided by Signum Academy to further discussion and exploration of the literature.

Many thanks to all the libraries and homeschool groups, teachers and students, families and kids who have participated in these programs so far!
